Driver's Education - South RidgeSafety & HealthThis will be an in-person class which will satisfy the classroom portion of obtaining a driver’s license. Students must be age 14 or older on the first day of class. Class will be held Monday and Thursday evenings on the dates listed below. One make-up day of Monday, Nov. 30 is scheduled for any lesson you miss. Any further missed lessons will be made up at an additional charge of $75 per lesson (no allowances will be made), or the course will need to be retaken, and no refund will be given. There will also be a 1½-hour parent meeting with an officer of the State Patrol on Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 6:00-7:30 P.M. in the Library. Parents and students who attend are eligible for a 10-hour reduction in the number of logged hours needed before students may take their road tests. Make Your Own Stuffed Animal- Take Home Kit for Kids- Tower SoudanArts & CraftsIs it hard to make arrangements to stay after school for a fun craft? We have done this activity a few times and the kids have LOVED it!! With this special activity, your child will be able to bring an 8 inch stuffed animal kit home to stuff and enjoy! Eight inch stuffed animal kits will be ordered for those who register. Your child will receive his/her kit at school to take home to assemble. You must register in order to receive a kit- extras will not be ordered. We do need a minimum of 8 kits ordered. Each animal comes with a wishing star, birth certificate, and stuffing instructions. No sewing is required. *If the minimum number of kits needed to order is met, they will be ordered the week of November 9, 2026 and will be passed out to students as soon as they are delivered to the school*. Mixed-Doubles Pickleball for Youth - South RidgeSports & FitnessThis is a beginner-to-intermediate class for all, ages 14 and up. Eighteen and under must have an accompanying adult. Pickleball is a paddle-ball sport that combines elements of badminton, table tennis, and tennis and uses a perforated ball, much like a wiffle ball. The first class will cover the rules, regulations, and coaching. The remaining classes will be round-robin play with individuals rotating with other individuals to form new two-person teams. Roller Skating for Families - South RidgeRoller SkatingFamily Roller Skating Fun! Join us for a family activity that promotes physical activity, focusing on balance, progressive mobility, and fitness for all ages including adults. There will be an “open skate” with music, lights, and a roller-rink atmosphere. An instructor will be available on-site for the beginner and first-time skaters.Skate rentals will be available at $5 per skater (available sizes are 11 Junior through 14 Adult), or you may bring your own roller skates/roller blades, but they will be required to be inspected prior to use to make sure they will not harm the floor. Please let us know upon registration if you need a skate lesson. “Skate trainers” will also be available for additional support.
