Defensive Driving Course for Age 55+ at South Ridge

This class is an in-person class and is for persons age 55 and older to qualify for a 10% discount on their auto insurance premiums for three years after completion of the course.  The former 8-hour initial class requirement has been removed by State Law as of July 1, 2024.  Participants must now take the 4-hour course to initially earn the discount and then repeat the 4-hour class every three years to maintain the discount.  This class is taught by a certified instructor as a presentation where you’ll discuss the challenges we face as drivers, new road designs, vehicle technology, and updates on current laws.  Certificate of completion will be provided at the end of class for submission to your insurance company.  Pre-registration is required.
